Miriam Aukerman, Esq. is a senior staff attorney at the ACLU of Michigan and litigates on a broad range of civil liberties issues, with a particular focus on immigrant rights, poverty, and criminal law.

Shawn Barrera-Leaf
Shawn Barrera-Leaf is Executive Director at United Voices 4 Sex Offense Reform. Her work bridges families, survivor-centered stakeholders, lawmakers, and advocacy partners.

Amber Vlangas
Amber Vlangas is Executive Director at the Restorative Action Alliance, an artist, mindful and meditative art teacher, sound healing guide, and co-host of the Amplified Voices podcast.

Grant Hill
Grant Hill is the Iowa State House candidate society said shouldn't exist. After leaving prison, he was handed a sex offender label and told his time was up. Grant refused to accept that narrative and founded a nonprofit, started a podcast, and walked it into the Capitol halls as a lobbyist fighting for real legislative change.

Catherine Carpenter, Esq.
Catherine Carpenter is the Arleigh M. Woods and William T. Woods Chair and Professor Emerita at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. She is affiliated w/ Alliance for Constitutional Sex Offense Laws (ACSOL) and Access to Restorative Justice.

Peter Dross
Peter (Pete) Dross retired in 2025 after a 32-year career with the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT), a nongovernmental organization that is the largest organization of its kind in the world. Dross has led successful issue and legislative advocacy campaigns on both state/federal levels with broad and bipartisan support.
